The 2019 British F3 championship got off to a start this weekend at Oulton Park, with racing taking place on Saturday 20th April and Monday 22nd.
It was a case of so near yet so far, with Douglas Motorsport cars finishing in 4th position in each race. Race 1 was full of drama and a lengthy safety car period as a result of a multi car accident on lap two, which unfortunately put Benjamin Pederson out of the race. Kiern Jewiss was also involved in an incident, one which he was penalised for and received a 10 second penalty, which would ultimately demote him from 6th on the road to 9th. The best finish of the race for Douglas Motorsport was Ulysse de Pauw’s fourth place.
Race 2 saw Kiern Jewiss challenge throughout for 3rd place, in the end he had to settle for fourth, ahead of de Pauw in 7th place and Pederson in 10th place. Three cars in the top 10 for Douglas Motorsport.
The Final race of the meeting saw an almost identical result for the Douglas Motorsport team, Kiern Jewiss finished in 4th place once again, Ulysse de Pauw came home in 7th place and Benjamin Pederson finished in 10th position to match his race 2 finishing position
